Born and raised in the California Bay Area, I am the oldest of four children. My childhood consisted of afternoons at the local park, and time at home practicing the piano and violin, and reading as much as I could. When I was in my late teens, my parents moved my family to China. This was a challenging experience as I was to finish my last two years of high school there. In hindsight though, it became a foundational experience that would change the course of my life. During that time, I had the opportunity to not only travel and explore different cultures around the world, but I was able to make lifelong friendships with people from around the world. These experiences set me up to be the life long learner that I have become, and taught me to be curious and find joy in the world around me.
From a young age, I have always loved caring for young children. 10 year old Andrea could be found with a couple of toddlers after church on the front lawn, waving goodbye as worshipers left Sunday services. As a teenager, I was THE neighborhood babysitter, highly sought after and booked out weeks in advance.
These years of experience with children from a young age helped me solidify my passion early on. I knew I loved working with children, but wasn't sure how to incorporate my passion into a career. After obtaining a degree in Public Health, I found myself in Seattle in 2017, in a job that I knew wasn't right for me, and decided to go back to my roots.
I had worked as a nanny part time through college, and decided to give Nannying as a career a go. I found two amazing families to partner with, and off I went. I quickly realized childcare was where I was meant to be, and I have worked diligently ever since to be the best care giver I can for the children in my stewardship.
